Post M&A: Secrets of Successful Mergers and Acquistions

Continuing the series on recent M&A and IPOs,  GCF is proud to announce a panel on ‘Post M&A Success stories’ with industry luminaries who have recently managed multimillion dollar exit deals for their companies.   Join the founder / CTO of Ankeena which recently sold for less than $100M, a partner at IVP and M&A expert at Accenture as they share their experience on what makes an M&A succeed or fail.

About a decade ago, as many as three quarters of all mergers destroyed value as measured 2 years after the deal announcement.   Recent numbers indicate that half of large corporate mergers create at least marginal returns (reference:  Accenture report).   Despite these improvements, odds are still stacked up against executives trying to orchestrate a successful M&A. Post M&A performance of many companies rarely lives up to the expectations of the seller and the buyer. Financial forecasts are not met, morale is affected and key people leave. So what does it take for a merger to succeed?  What are successful companies doing right to unlock the value of their M&A deals? What are the objective measures of a successful deal and how do you achieve them? Come and hear the perspectives of executives from both sides of the transaction (seller, acquirer) who have completed successful deals in the last 12 months.
