Philippe Botteri is a Vice President in the Menlo Park office and focuses on the Enterprise Software, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Internet sectors. He was closely involved with the firm’s investments in Wize.com, Intego, Cornerstone OnDemand, Intacct, and Eloqua.
Most recently, Philippe was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company's high-tech practice in Silicon Valley, specializing in the software, IT solutions, and consumer electronics industries. During his tenure with McKinsey, which started in Paris in 1998, Philippe led the development of "web 1.0" internet start-ups, pioneered the firm's work with "on-demand" software, and advised clients on sales and marketing and growth strategies. His clients included multi-national corporations and private equity funds. Philippe began his career as a business manager with the Danone Group.
Philippe holds an MS in Applied Engineering from the Ecole des Mines, and an MS in Science from the Ecole Polytechnique. He has also served in the French Navy. In addition to his native French, he is fluent in English and Italian. To read his blog, go to Cracking the Code.
