Description
Dress Code: Business
Building a SaaS company is different! Development is different, sales is different, even the financial metrics are very different. Is SaaS a business model or a philosophy? What are some of the lessons learned? How do you recruit when so many functional experts may need to have completely different skills (eg selling direct v. online / telesales)? Are there any magic metrics for managers, prospective employees, acquirers, etc.?
Where is the SaaS industry going? What industry themes excite you? What are some of the most exciting companies? What ecosystems changes are you watching most closely?
What product development areas are core (build) v. where will you look to buy or ally? Where to you see application or infrastructure opportunities surrounding your platform (eg BI, integration, add-on applications, implementation services, security, etc.). Who will be the next handful of SaaS companies to go public
