Just when you think that innovation on the web might be starting to plateau, a new set of companies and trends emerges to captivate the Internet community. On Thursday, November 19, 2009, TiE’s Entrepreneur Week will conclude with its “anchor leg” – a day of insights on the latest trends in the ever-changing world of the Internet. The afternoon will begin with a PowerConnect session on the new shape of shopping – the latest innovations in E-commerce. As a PowerConnect event, this interactive discussion will enable attendees to engage in a meaningful dialogue with experts in online commerce in a focused setting. You’ll make important connections with fellow entrepreneurs with relevant interests and experience as well.
Later in the afternoon, we will be featuring a thought-provoking panel that will examine “A World without Google”. While Google doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon, a variety of alternative methods of acquiring, retaining and monetizing traffic continue to emerge, and we will explore the implications of these with our panel of experts in the field. If you are in a business that relies on Google or may compete with Google, you won’t want to miss the insights from our 4:30 pm panel.
As with the other days of TiE Entrepreneur Week, we will conclude the speaker portion of the day with a keynote from an Internet industry luminary – stay tuned for an announcement soon! Following the keynote address, you’ll have the opportunity to mingle with other attendees and speakers over dinner and cultivate the connections you made during the afternoon. We look forward to seeing you on November 19th.
