The mission of the Cleantech SIG is to educate members of the TiE community and beyond on cleantech entrepreneurship. We seek to put together compelling programming that will cover pertinent topics across the vast range of cleantech sectors, including solar, biofuels, energy storage, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, carbon trading, clean coal, and others. Our hope is that the discussions, networking, and mentoring facilitated by the SIG will inspire participants to seriously consider cleantech as a possible career and life opportunity.
Event Types. Regular events will be held in the form of presentations, small workgroups, and panel discussions with industry executives, entrepreneurs, investors, public policy experts, service providers, and/or researchers followed by Q&A sessions with the members. The format of the events will encourage active discussion and facilitate access to industry experts for the Cleantech SIG member community. Other events under consideration include a cleantech entrepreneurs' showcase and a matching event to connect aspiring TiE entrepreneurs with cutting-edge research being conducted at various institutions and universities.
